Medi Aevi Font
Product details
Medi Aevi is a medieval script font shaped by the gothic, handwritten texts of the middle ages; a typeface crafted for Dungeon Masters, authors, and graphic designers who want their handouts, maps, and creative projects to feel authentically ancient. It is ideal for recreating old manuscripts, ransom notes, dark warning letters, vintage invitations, and royal decrees meant to look as though they have survived centuries of dust and candlelight.
To accompany the main script, Medi Aevi also features a dedicated drop cap font in two distinct variants, Solid and Outlined. These drop caps are additionally supplied as individual high-resolution graphics, allowing you to integrate them seamlessly into decorative layouts, illuminated book pages, or ornate title designs.
What's Included?
- Medi Aevi Font: The primary gothic calligraphy script style, supplied in universally compatible OTF, TTF, and WOFF webfont formats
- Full Alternates: The font includes full uppercase and lowercase character sets, along with a rich range of built-in lowercase alternates for organic text variety.
- Medi Aevi Drop Caps: A dedicated font as well as Pdf and Png formats for creating large decorative initial letters, included in Solid and Outlined variants.
- Commercial License Included: Fully licensed for both personal use and commercial projects, including indie TTRPG book publishing, commercial streaming layouts, merchandise design, and product branding.
Beyond the realm of TTRPG
Medi Aevi is a versatile typography bundle designed to capture the exact look of hand-inked monastic records and epic legends. It is the perfect typographic choice for:
- Tabletop RPGs and LARP Props: Authentic royal proclamations, ancient library documents, cursed grimoire pages, player handouts, and campaign lore sheets for systems like D&D, Pathfinder, or Warhammer.
- Fantasy Novels and Book Design: Ornate chapter openers using the included drop caps, high-fantasy book covers, interior map labels, and medieval-themed promotional graphics.
- Real-World Graphic Design: Equally suited to gothic wedding stationery, historical branding, historical apparel design, and any creative layout that calls for a touch of medieval age.
